Are you ready to step into a pivotal leadership role at our client’s Ultra Luxury Hotel in New Zealand? We are seeking a Operations Manager to serve as the second in command, reporting directly to the General Manager and assuming full responsibility in their absence.

 

This is a key position that would suit an EAM with a Rooms or F&B background. The successful candidate will need to have extensive hospitality experience, a strong focus on excellence, plenty of enthusiasm and a flexible approach. The right applicant must be self-motivated, a team player and able to work well in a high-pressure environment.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • The successful candidate must be passionate, well presented, possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and most importantly, will go above and beyond the call of duty to deliver a true luxury experience for our guests.
  • Additionally, you will have:
  • A passion for service delivery and hospitality
  • Previous (minimum 4 years) senior-level experience in 5 Star Luxury Hotels and or Boutique Lodges
  • Exceptional Food & Beverage and or Front Office knowledge
  • A commitment to high standards and quality
  • A hardworking and co-operative manner
  • Excellent management ability and communication skills
  • Ability to drive a team and foster teamwork
  • A developmental and coaching approach
  • Understanding of housekeeping & maintenance procedures
  • Administrative management experience, including strong financial acumen
  • A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills
  • An awareness of developments within the food & lodge industries as well as international trends in hospitality
  • A high degree of professionalism
  • A natural relationship builder
  • Passionate about attention to detail, which is critical in delivering luxury experiences
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Assumes ownership for their role
  • Comfortable and calm working under pressure
