This senior leadership role has been created to support the property's evolution from an upper-upscale resort into a distinctive five-star luxury lifestyle destination.
The successful candidate will be a strategic marketing leader with a proven track record of driving brand positioning, guest engagement, and commercial growth within luxury hospitality. You will be instrumental in leading a significant marketing transformation, building a stronger and more consistent marketing function, and elevating the resort's presence in both regional and international markets.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential requirements:
- At least 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within luxury hospitality, luxury lifestyle, or a closely related sector.
- Proven experience leading a hotel or resort repositioning, rebranding, pre-opening, or major transformation. The candidate must be able to show what they personally led and the results achieved.
- A strong understanding of the standards, expectations, and guest perceptions associated with five-star luxury hospitality.
- Experience defining or evolving a property’s brand positioning and translating it into a clear identity, compelling story, and consistent guest-facing experience.
- The ability to assess what needs to be rebuilt, set priorities, and create a practical marketing roadmap for a resort undergoing significant change.
- Strong leadership skills, with the confidence to set standards, make decisions, coach a team, and create greater consistency and stability in the department.
- A track record of improving the quality and reliability of marketing output, including creative briefs, content, photography, menus, collateral, digital platforms, and campaigns.
- Strong project-management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple departments, agencies, suppliers, and senior stakeholders against clear briefs, timelines, budgets, and approval processes.
- The judgment to balance high creative standards with realistic planning, resources, and deadlines—and to raise concerns early when quality is at risk.
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to connect brand and marketing activity to awareness, qualified demand, direct bookings, outlet performance, guest engagement, and revenue.
- Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, public relations, social media, content strategy, CRM, website performance, partnerships, and campaign measurement.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Vietnamese language skills and experience in Vietnam or Southeast Asia are strong advantages.
- Willingness to work between Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc, with regular and meaningful on-property presence.
Leadership qualities
The successful candidate will be:
- Strategic, but comfortable remaining closely involved in execution.
- Flexible and resilient in a resort where priorities and projects will evolve.
- Decisive and organized, able to bring clarity to complex or changing requests.
- Collaborative, while confident enough to challenge work that does not meet the agreed brand standard.
- Consistent in judgment and follow-through, building trust through clear communication and dependable delivery.
- Passionate about creating a distinctive luxury resort identity rooted in nature, lifestyle, and Vietnamese sense of place.
Strong advantages:
- Experience with an international luxury hotel or resort brand
- Direct experience repositioning a property from upper-upscale to luxury or lifestyle.
- Experience in a resort pre-opening, opening, relaunch, or major renovation.
- Established relationships with luxury travel, media, public relations, and creative partners in Vietnam and key international markets.
- Experience working with international feeder markets, including Europe, Russia and the CIS, China, and the Middle East.
- Experience building or restructuring a marketing team and introducing clear workflows, quality controls, and performance measures.
