Are you an energetic and proactive, task-focused, detail-orientated leader who can work at a predictable and constant pace in a structured environment? Our client a luxury Cape Town Hotel is seeking a Night Manager to be responsible for managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence.

Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The person in this position will require clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person's competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty. The position will provide security in a stable work environment, allowing the person to plan for, focus on and complete tasks on hand.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 certificate; Diploma in Hotel or Management advantageous
• Must have operational experience in a 4/5* Hotel
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience with a Point of Sales System - exposure to Micros advantageous
• Experience with a Property Management System – exposure to Opera advantageous
• The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time.
• The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined.
• A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position.
• Highly presentable
• Solid English verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work night shifts, weekends and holidays
