Are you passionate about shaping the future of hospitality talent. Our client is seeking a visionary Group Director of Learning & Development to lead strategic training initiatives across its portfolio of luxury resorts in the Maldives.

Your purpose as a key member of the corporate leadership team, you’ll ensure that Learning & Development is a true strategic partner, enhancing employee performance, elevating guest service standards, and cultivating a pipeline of future leaders with global exposure.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualification as hospitality trainer or similar and/or Qualification in hospitality and tourism, minimum requirement is Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Studies or other related field
• Essential to have experience both in training and/or in hospitality industry.
• Minimum experience requirement in training is 5 years; of which at least 2 years at department head level.
• Essential to have experience in Food and Beverage and/or Rooms Division at supervisory or department head level.
• Ability to coach, motivate and encourage the team to achieve optimum performance  
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Personal initiative and a customer-oriented approach to teaching.
• Ability to work independently, as well as a good team member.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural work environment, showing
• respect to all employees regardless of ethnic background or gender.
• Must appreciate the diversity of employees. 
• Excellent time management skills; must be able to work according to set targets and timetables.
• Good administration skills; must be able to organize himself/herself and be able to prepare departmental budgets and reports
• Considerable skill in performing simple mathematical calculations without error. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents; write speeches and articles; make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to a variety of audiences; listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
