Our client, a leading luxury safari travel company, is seeking a dynamic Trainer to design and deliver highimpact learning experiences for their Sales and Operations teams. In this role, you’ll create and facilitate training across systems, processes, and destination knowledge—empowering teams to deliver exceptional service and worldclass safari expertise.

 

You’ll train new starters, upskill existing staff, and lead maintenance and remedial training to ensure consistent performance. Working closely with the Performance & Development Manager, you’ll assess training needs, refine delivery methods, and continuously evolve content to match business demands.

 

A key part of the role is formalising and elevating all training materials—building new content from scratch, refreshing existing modules, and driving the shift toward digital learning assets. You’ll collaborate with Sales Directors, Operations Managers, and HR to ensure training is aligned, impactful, and seamlessly integrated across the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Knowledge

  • Minimum of 4-years’ experience in a Travel Consultant role at a B2C travel business, working with inbound international travellers (essential)
  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience in a Training Manager / Facilitator role at a comparable travel business (advantageous)
  • The ideal candidate should come from a safari / tourism background and have a solid understanding of safari logistics and operational flow. This is essential.
  • They should have hands-on experience in building and managing itineraries.
  • A good working knowledge of airline systems, routing, and ticketing considerations would be important.
  • The company uses HubSpot and Bazaruto (similar in function to Tourplan or Wetu), so familiarity with systems of this nature would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience with ResRequest would be advantageous
