DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

 

 

MALDIVES (LIVE-IN, SINGLE ACCOMMODATION)

Our client, a prestigious luxury hotel group in the Maldives, is seeking an inspiring Director of Human Resources to lead the full HR function and champion a peoplefirst culture across the resort.

 

In this strategic role, you will shape an environment where every team member feels recognised, valued, and supported in contributing to the company’s vision. You’ll partner closely with resort leaders to drive all core HR pillars — Recruitment & Selection, Induction & Familiarisation, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Talent & Career Management, Engagement, Reward & Recognition, Compensation & Benefits, Welfare, CSR, and overall employee satisfaction.

 

You will ensure consistent alignment with the company’s mission, values, and service philosophy, empowering teams to deliver professional excellence and anticipate organisational needs. Through strong leadership, progressive HR practices, and a commitment to harmonious management–labour relations, you’ll help build a motivated, highperforming workforce that elevates the guest experience and strengthens the brand.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • University Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent is required
  • Ten years in hotel Human Resources operations preferably in a resort industry including a minimum of five years in management and similar position.
  • Remote country experience and multi-cultural environment exposure. Maldives experience is an advantage.
  • Group experience and technical skills in Human Resources
  • Ability to create a culture which supports a collaborative environment.
  • A leadership style the uses coaching as an attribute.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate within all levels across the company.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills and able to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Good organization and multitasking skills.
  • Multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures.
  • Flexible and able to embrace and respond to change effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with focus and initiative in a dynamic environment.
