CHIEF ENGINEER

ZANZIBAR (LIVE IN)

We are searching for a Chief Engineer for our client’s luxury property located in Zanzibar. To be responsible for overseeing the engineering operations of the resort (potentially 2 resorts), ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and managing maintenance and repair plans and projects. The Chief Engineer will also lead a team of engineers and collaborate with other departments to maintain the highest level of functionality and guest satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Engineering Management, Facilities Management, and Project Management skills
• Experience in overseeing maintenance, repair, and safety compliance
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical systems
• Leadership and team management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is a must
• Previous experience in the position of Chief Engineer in resorts and hotels of not less than 3 years or in any other leadership role within the Maintenance Department.
• It is a MUST to have international exposure and experience for this role.
• Fluency in English language, advanced computer user
