Are you a dynamic engineering leader with the ability to balance technical expertise and people management? Do you thrive in remote environments that demand strategic problem-solving, marine engineering knowledge, and the ability to navigate workplace dynamics?

The island based Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing technical operations, engineering maintenance, and team management within the department, reporting directly to the GM with a dotted line to the Group Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in the position of Chief Engineer in resorts and hotels of not less than 5 years or in any other leadership role within the Maintenance Department.
• Mid-large volume resort experience (ideally in a remote/island location)
• Engineering Management, Facilities Management, and Project Management skills and able to draw up preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience in overseeing maintenance, repair, and safety compliance, including desalination plants and back-up power systems
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical systems, including HVAC and marine.
• Leadership from the front (hands-on)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills manging a diverse team
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
