LODGE MANAGER / GM

UGANDA (LIVE IN)

Do you enjoy hosting guests in a remote location? Are you comfortable leading and motivating all the relevant FOH & BOH departments in a luxury lodge? Our client is searching for a dynamic General Manager for their luxury retreat in Uganda.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Hospitality Diploma or tertiary qualification in Hotel Management a benefit
• Experience in Uganda
• Computer Literate
• English speaking, fluent in written and spoken English
• Previous work experience of at least 5 years in management roles 
• Management experience in a luxury lodge environment
• Systematic and strong with protocols
• Used to a reporting system and presenting month-end packs to Operations
• An understanding of budget control, financial management and planning
• HR and payroll functions
• Hands-on staff management and staff disciplinary process
• Eye for detail and good all-rounder in all aspects of the hotel – food/ beverage/ housekeeping/ front office
• Experience and ability to train staff
